Kelly Valade has been hired as Vice President to lead UX and design research for Grail Insights. She comes to Grail with 20+ years of experience running holistic customer insights programs. Her work has shaped the product experiences and marketing strategies for business and consumer brands across a diverse range of industries.
With an extensive background in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies from her time as a Director in Research and Consulting with Market Strategies International, Kelly has a knack for unearthing actionable insights that help address the challenges facing her clients. She most recently spent eight years working in-house at two tech start-ups. While there, she built UX research teams from the ground-up, arming Product, Design, and Engineering departments with the insights they needed to make data-driven decisions.

A seasoned moderator, Kelly is RIVA certified, and is also a certified usability analyst from Human Factors International. She also serves as the chair of her regional Komen Ambassador Board, and often volunteers with Special Olympics Oregon. She is based in Portland, Oregon.
