Project Manager: SF Bay Area

A market research project manager oversees delivery of client engagements and is involved with client proposal developments. Responsibilities include coordination of research work streams with internal and external stakeholders as well as supporting research engagements through conducting interviews, assuring quality of client deliverables and other tasks as they relate to day-to-day project management.

Project delivery based on subject matter expertise:

  • Past relevant hands-on experience in delivering research/analytics projects
  • Ability to design research solutions using a variety of methodologies and analytical techniques pertinent to the scope at hand
  • Prior work in marketing sciences to be able to effectively support new project activity while working with senior professionals/clients in marketing sciences and research
  • Hands-on ability to deliver projects, such as expert interview moderation, developing insights from research data etc. while working with a globally distributed execution team
  • Review client deliverables( PowerPoint reports, research guides, etc.)for quality and consistency with the original scope/ research objectives
  • Advise on PowerPoint presentation design to assure effective storytelling
  • Present insights to clients, lead client meetings and calls

Account Management:

  • Engage client contacts across functions/roles
  • Liaise with the offshore delivery team on new custom projects or retainer changes

Solution Design:

  • In continuation with the last point, the person should be able to work with the internal team and clients to develop custom analytics solutions in a consultative environment

  • At least 5-7 years as a hands-on business/research analyst or project manager with appreciation for operational issues in large complex business environments
  • Past exposure to clients in High-Tech or FinTech will be preferred
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Understanding of various research methodologies and how they are applied to achieve needed results
  • A Bachelor degree in business, economics, market research or a social science.
